Eurovision DSM contest
Implementation status of the DSM directive across the EU
See how the 27 Member States compare when implementing
the new copyright rules
On the 7th of June 2021 the Copyright in the Digital Single Market Directive entered into force in the 27 EU member states. On this website we are tracking how far the member states are with implementing the directive and give each of them a score for the quality of their implementation process. The maximum points a member state can score is douze points. Click on the individual member states to learn more about its implementation and to see how we have arrived at the score.
The information on this site is based on two years of work that we have undertaken together with a network of local partners to guide the national implementations of the DSM directive so that they maximise access to knowledge and culture and the protection of users’ rights. This work has been made possible with a grant from the Open Society Foundations. You can find more information about this project and the overall implementation process on our dedicated DSM Implementation Portal.
